এথিক এর ১২তম মঞ্চ প্রযোজনা বাংলাদেশের জনপ্রিয় কথাসাহিত্যিক ও নাট্যকার ইমদাদুল হক মিলনের বিখ্যাত গল্প অবলম্বনে 'নেতা যে রাতে নিহত হলেন' নাট্যরূপ ও নির্দেশনা: রেজানুর রহমান। নেতা যে রাতে নিহত হলেন’ ইমদাদুল হক মিলনের এক অবিস্মরনীয় গল্প। বাংলাদেশের মহান স্থপতি, বাঙ্গালি জাতির সর্বকালের সর্বশ্রেষ্ঠ নেতা, জাতির জনক বঙ্গবন্ধু শেখ মুজিবুর রহমানকে নিয়ে এ রকম গল্প বাংলা ভাষায় আর কেউ লেখেননি। একজন মহান নেতাকে দেশের অতি সামান্য এক মানুষ কতটা হৃদয় দিয়ে ভালোবাসতে পারে এই গল্পে তা প্রকাশ পেয়েছে। রতন মাঝি নামের গ্রামের অতিসাধারন বর্গাচাষী কৃষক তার প্রিয় নেতা বঙ্গবন্ধু শেখ মুজিবুর রহমানকে কাছ থেকে দেখার জন্য নিজের হাতে চাষ করা কালিজিরা ধানের চিড়া নিয়ে আসে ঢাকা শহরে। মহামান্য রাষ্ট্রপতির বাসার সামনে সন্দেহজনক ঘোরাঘুরির জন্য তাকে ধরে আনা হয় নিকটস্থ থানায়। রতন মাঝির সরল স্বীকারোক্তিতে নেতার প্রতি গভীর ভালোবাসা ফুটে ওঠে। কিন্তু দ্বায়িত্বের কাছে ভালোবাসা গৌন হয়ে যায়। পুলিশ অফিসারের জিজ্ঞাসাবাদের পর আটকে রাখা হয় লকাপে। বেদনায় নীল হয়ে ওঠে রতন মাঝির রাত। রাত যখন ভোর হয় তখন আসে অনাকিঙ্খত নেতা হত্যার দুঃসংবাদ। নেতা হত্যার প্রতিশোধের প্রতিজ্ঞায় শান্ত রতন মাঝি হয়ে যায় অশান্ত।
নাটকের মঞ্চ পরিকল্পনায় ফজলে রাব্বি সুকর্ন, আলোক পরিকল্পক অম্লান বিশ্বাস, পোষাক পরিকল্পক এনাম তারা সাকি, আবহ সঙ্গীত পরিকল্পক অসীম কুমার নট্ট, রুপসজ্জায় শুভাশীষ দত্ত তন্ময় এবং নাটকের প্রচ্ছদ করেছেন প্রখ্যাত শিল্পী ধ্রব এষ।

Ethic's 12th stage production based on the famous story of Bangladeshi popular fiction writer and playwright Imdadul Haque Milon 'Neta Je Rate Nihoto Holen' dramatized and directed by Rezanur Rahman. 'Neta Je Rate Nihoto Holen' is an unforgettable story of Imdadul Haque Milan. No one else has written such a story in Bengali about the great architect of Bangladesh, the greatest leader of the Bengali nation, the father of the nation, Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman. This story reveals how much a very small people of the country can love a great leader. Ratan Majhi, an ordinary farmer of the village, brought his own hand-cultivated Kalijira paddy to Dhaka city to meet his beloved leader Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman. He was arrested at the nearest police station for suspicious loitering in front of His Excellency the President's residence. Ratan Majhi's simple confession reveals his deep love for the leader. But love becomes secondary to duty. After being questioned by the police officer, he was detained in the lockup. Ratan Majhi's night turned blue in pain. When the night dawns, comes the sad news of the assassination of an unwanted leader. The calm Ratan Majhi becomes agitated as he vows to avenge the leader's murder.
The set designer of this paly is Fazle Rabbi Sukorn, light designer is Amlan Biswas, costume designer is Enam Tara Saki, music designer is Asim Kumar Natta, make-up artist is Subhashish Dutta Tanmoy and the poster designed of the play was done by renowned artist Dhrab Esh. in 2023 15 August this play was performed for the first time in Bangladesh shilpokala acdemy.
